Each bird is a different colour and has a particular character. For example, the green bird wears glasses and is somewhat of a geek, while the charming orange bird with a baseball cap throws a ball around when he gets to form a winning combo. Then, there is the lavish multicoloured Wild bird and the high paying yellow bird with a fancy up-do.

The Wins Will Fly Into Your Lap
All in all, if you’re not the type of person, who likes cute birds madly flying about, then Birds! will definitely not be for you. But perhaps hearing about the gameplay mechanics will persuade you anyway.

While it certainly isn’t trail-blazing, Betsoft has chosen to allow players to get even more chances to win. So whenever you get three of the same coloured birds either horizontally or vertically, which will trigger a win, you can keep on going. What do we mean?

Well, just like in Gonzo’s Quest and many other modern mobile slots too, the birds that make up the winning combo will fly off, the ones left floating will fall to the bottom-most position and brand new ones will fly onto the remaining free slots.

This doesn’t necessarily ensure that you’ll keep on getting win after win, but it sure increases your chances of that happening without you having to wager extra cash. Talking about wagering, you can choose to bet anywhere from 25 coins to 125 coins, which puts Birds! in the low variance slot range.

Oh and it’s a pity that the slot doesn’t pay horizontally, but supposedly the feature of extra spins is relatively easy to trigger, which should boost those winnings handsomely.

Birds! has a nice selection of features that aren’t going to blow our minds, but which are the fundamental mobile slot features that Betsoft couldn’t say no. Wilds, re-spins, Double Up and extra spins – or ‘free flights’ as they call it make up for the low level of base wins in this mobile slot. The Eccentric Wild Bird And The Gamble Feature
Every game needs a little bit of crazy in it and the bird with the most colourful plumage of all is the Wild symbol of the game. The great news is that it will replace for absolutely any other bird on the ‘reels’ – whatever it takes to get you to a winning combination straight away.

As there are no scatter symbols in Birds!, there are also no exceptions for the Wild substitutions. Meanwhile, three or more of the Wild birds in a horizontal or vertical row will also award a massive lump of cash – up to 182 coins per Wild bird!

And with every single win on the reels, be it from regular birds or Wild ones, you can chose to Double Up. This means that you can choose either heads or tails of a coin, bet half of the win or all of it in a game of chance. You can keep going for as long as you’re winning. Heavens know, you might be onto winning a massive sum of money if the luck is really on your side. Go ahead and flip that golden coin!

Watch That Tweet o’Meter To Get Extra Spins
Although there is no bonus round on Birds!, Betsoft have given us a little something to chirp about. Amicably called ‘free flights,’ these can be accumulated by filling up the Tweet o’Meter on the left of your screen.

It will slowly get filled one bar after another as a winning flock of birds leaves the screen. In other words, with each ‘respin,’ the meter will get you closer to extra spins and there is no symbol that can award extra spins to you instead. These re-spins have to be one after the other, otherwise the Tweet o’Meter empties and you start over.

Get at least four winning flights and you’ll be awarded with eight extra spins, while getting five flights in a row will get you 12 extra spins and six flights will award a whopping 20 extra spins. Seven winning flights and more will get you a base number of 14 extra spins, plus the number of winning flights added to the total number of extra spins (e.g. 8 flights will mean you get 14+8=22 extra spins).

Theoretically, there is an unlimited number of extra spins that you can get as you can keep on collecting winning flocks in extra spins mode. This is an awesome feature and it’s quite easy to get to it, thanks to the re-spin feature.
